End of Life for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008. Are you ready?

Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 are approaching “End of Life.” The extended support feature (which provides all support, including security updates) ends on January 14th, 2020. Continued use of either of these operating systems would leave your system, network, and data completely unprotected from new virus and malware threats. These threats are continuously being created.

If your business workstations are running on Windows 7, now is the time to start thinking about the upgrade process. Upgrading the operating system (to Windows 10 or Windows Server 2012) will be required. However, it may be time to consider upgrading the workstations as well. Technology advances at a rapid rate. Now many programs are built with the expectation that users will have high-speed hard drives and at least 8GB of RAM.

With slightly more than a year before Windows 7 End of Life goes into effect, there is time to develop and implement an upgrade strategy. Let us know how we can help your business with this transition.
